Job Summary
The Material Handling Equipment Field Service Rep (FSR) provides on-site technical support and advice to assigned customers.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
- Provide technical guidance and advice to the customer.
- Present a positive image of self and companyâs services.
- Work effectively with differing customers and cultures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Provide inspection support and perform repairs, sustainment maintenance, retrofits, and modifications to multiple platform vehicles.
- Conduct technical analysis of vehicle implementations, modifications, and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determine technical solutions.
- Act as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
- Document and submit company expense reports and timecards.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & SkillsÂ
- Must have direct knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as Cranes, Forklifts and Loaders.
- Must be able to inspect, test and repair the mentioned MHE. Â
- Knowledgeable of U.S. Military vehicle maintenance management processes, publications, and guidelines.
- Ability to use all types of engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical specification sheets.
- Ability to use all types of power tools, lifting devices, or support equipment including chains.
- Familiar with the use and operation of TMDE (Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment).Â
- Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport.
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or GED required.Â
- Class A or B CDL preferred.
- Four (4) years certified vehicle maintenance required.
- ASE level certification in vehicular and component level fault diagnostics and maintenance or military equivalent.
- Prior instructional experience delivering technical training in fault diagnostics and maintenance/repair.
- Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Capability to lift 55lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to meet medical and physical fitness requirements to enter and maintain deployment in accordance with customer requirements.
- Live and work in an austere environment in an active combat zone most likely under U.S. government control
- TravelÂ
- Able to travel domestically and internationally.
- Relocate to different locations within the AOR on short notice to support assignment.
