IRC CIVIL ENGINEER

At Eni, we are looking for a Civil Engineer within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq.

You will be responsible for developing, safeguarding (within the Group) and disseminating (to colleagues) key technical/professional knowledge.

As a member of the engineering department at the Zubair Field Operating division you will be responsible for :

• Providing civil engineering expertise for brownfield projects inside the plants and for oil gathering and water injection projects of network development (from Conceptual Design to Commissioning/Start-up, including contractors' design reviews) assuring that civil works design meets the required engineering standards.
• Providing specialist structural civil engineering expertise into the conceptual and/or detailed engineering design of civil/office buildings to ensure that contractor structural designs and specifications meet project objectives, engineering requirements and industry best practices.
• Coordinating geotechnical and geophysical surveys.
• Identifying and adopting the correct civil engineering/construction standards according to company procedures, local norms and legislation (especially about safety, pollution, HSEQ...).
• Preparing technical and contractual specifications for constructions, infrastructures and civil works.
• Civil engineering reviewing and approving contractor's documentation.
• Designing reviewing (construction and installation design; yard field).
• Reviewing civil works and construction costs.
• Reviewing and evaluating civil works and construction bids.
• Supporting construction manager planning and monitoring project execution (schedule, cost, and compliance of work to project specifications).
• Providing technical support to civil works contractors.
• Training / mentoring junior engineers.
