Job Description

As a Process Operations Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training sessions to local Operations Technicians and Engineers.

  • Design and deliver both theoretical and practical training programs, ensuring all participants meet operational standards.
  • Conduct written and practical assessments to evaluate trainee competence.
  • Maintain accurate records of training progress, course completion, attendance, and any issues encountered.
Requirements and SkillsEducation

A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree with substantial industry experience will also be considered.

Professional Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in refinery operations, ideally in roles such as Operations Supervisor or Senior Operations Engineer.
  • Significant hands-on experience with refinery unit operations.
  • At least 5 years of instructional experience, including the development and delivery of industry-specific training programs.
Technical Knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations, and refinery-specific compliance standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and other training tools.
Communication Skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in delivering presentations and training to diverse audiences in both classroom and on-site settings.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable addressing groups and facilitating both technical and hands-on learning.
