Construction Tradesperson

You are sought to work on projects that have a significant impact on the community in NSW. Your primary goal will be to develop your trade skills and gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.

This role involves working as part of a diverse team at Southwestern Bridges, delivering key projects such as bridge construction and maintenance across Southwest NSW.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out trade activities and other duties relevant to maintaining bridges and drain structures, which may require experience with steel and concreting.
• Undertaking the duties of a Bridge worker Grade 4 when required.
• Working on various projects outside of Hay on a regular basis, where you will be required to live away from home, but will receive a living allowance that is tax-free, paid accommodation, and travel allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing plans for project completion within set deadlines.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of work.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork and communication.

Requirements:

• Trade qualified Carpenter with excellent communication skills.
• Hold a Carpentry Licence/Trade Certificate - Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Ability to identify and report safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and rectify those without direction.
• Capability to achieve quality standards and follow established quality procedures within the scope of training provided in the role.
• Current Construction Industry White Card, current driver's licence, and ability to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, travel across the region, and stay away from home when needed.
