Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Professional

The role of an HSE professional is multifaceted and plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals and communities. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to minimize risks associated with hazardous processes and activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • HSE Training Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees, focusing on process operational safety, material handling, shutdown procedures, isolation protocols, and maintenance work safety.
  • Competence Assessments: Conduct written and practical assessments to evaluate participants' understanding and ability to apply safety standards effectively.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 7 years of experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas industry, with expertise in delivering training programs and designing materials and assessments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of refinery operations and associated safety risks, as well as strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities, confidence in presenting to groups, and facilitating diverse training environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and other training tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to engage participants effectively in both classroom and on-site training settings.
