JOB PURPOSEAs a Waiter, you will provide warm welcome for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience.WHAT YOU WILL DOResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:To be present on duty in immaculate uniform. To be smart, friendly and firm.Ensures guest is greeted with a warm & friendly welcomeAssist the guest upon arrival at the table, and adjust table seating where appropriatePresent appropriate menu for appropriate meal timesSuggest daily specials and guide or make recommendations to the guest, where applicableTake Food & Beverage order, and repeat the order to the guest for clarificationRecord orders accurately in the restaurant Micros system, recording all appropriate instructions for the Kitchen and BarObserve guest to respond to any additional needs, and keep guests informed at all timesDeliver Food and Beverage service in a timely mannerDo a final check on the quality of food and beverage items before they are servedCheck back after delivery of food to ensure guest satisfactionMaintains table appearance by pre-bussing, check drinks levels and clear table appropriatelyPresents check for payment. Receive and process payment accordingly i.e. cash/credit card.Thank the quest accordingly and invite them back.Keep immediate Supervisor/Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken.YOU SHOULD HAVEMust have at least 2 years of experience as a F & B Waiter in a 5 star hotelAbility to speak, read, write advanced level of EnglishThorough knowledge in Micros SystemEffective communication skills and pleasant personality are a must.Very energetic, flexible and can handle pressureBe fully conversant with health and safety procedures and emergency procedures
