Officer - Reconciliation and Settlement

As a Reconciliation and Settlement Officer, you will ensure the financial integrity of our platform through accurate reconciliation of transactions, prompt resolution of discrepancies, and timely settlement processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across multiple accounts and payment systems with meticulous attention to detail.
• Investigate complex discrepancies using analytical techniques and implement sustainable solutions.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of large financial datasets to identify operational trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop sophisticated reports, dashboards, and visualizations that drive strategic decision-making and process optimization.
• Process settlements for financial transactions while ensuring strict compliance with internal protocols and external regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
• Monitor, track, and resolve outstanding reconciliation items through systematic follow-up procedures.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of robust reconciliation and settlement procedures, policies, and controls.
• Participate actively in system enhancement initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Provide critical support during internal/external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes and findings.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Data Science, or equivalent field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including demonstrated experience with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Proven analytical capabilities with experience interpreting and synthesizing complex financial data.
• Familiarity with Power BI and Tableau for creating interactive reports and visualizations (preferred).
• Working knowledge of database systems such as MySQL and MSSQL for effective data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with financial reconciliation systems and automated reconciliation tools (preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions and settlements.
• Relevant experience in financial reconciliation within fintech, banking, or payment services.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
