Position Overview 

  • Opens, sorts, and prepares mail for scanning
  • Load documents into scanner while maintaining the order of input to ensure mail is scanned and indexed accurately
  • Monitor scanning process and troubleshoot problems, as necessary
  • Perform quality checks by verifying electronic images on the screen and correcting any scanning issues
  • Forwards misdirected mail to appropriate entity
  • Ensure all scanning is completed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the scanning protocols

  • Drives company vehicle to pickup and deliver mail

  • Review envelope discard bin and remittance files for potential missed payment instruments

  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge/Abilities

  • Document scanning operations and workflow
  • Operating a high-speed production scanner
  • Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs 
  • Must have valid drivers license to drive company vehicle
  • Listen effectively and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Read at a level sufficient to understand documents containing addresses and key words

  • Achieve the established production and accuracy standards

  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to documents being scanned

  • Work independently with little direction and in a team environment

  • Meet stringent schedules and timelines

  • Work successfully in a fast-paced environment: and

  • Work flexible schedules and overtime hours, as necessary

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drviers license required
  • At least one year prior experience in mail center, document imaging or other related fields, OR equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work.

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English

Computer Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 9a-11a

Pay Range: $17.95-$18.25/hr
