Position Description

KBR's global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

KBR typically execute highly technical traditional energy projects and are developing into renewable energy projects. The candidate should be willing to learn new skills and develop in a large range of areas including Onshore, Offshore, LNG, Floating, Refining and Petrochemical. KBR are also committed to expanding in renewable energy sectors including wind, biofuel, carbon capture and hydrogen.

We are looking for a Piping Site Engineer to join our Piping Team in Iraq. The individual should have extensive experience in the resolution of site queries and a good understanding of each piping sub-discipline, Piping Design, Materials, Stress and Supports. Additionally, the role entails coordination duties with other disciplines and third parties to resolve site queries.

Regular duties will also include response and coordination of site queries, deviation requests etc. The candidate shall manage their priorities to ensure they support Construction and Commissioning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Resolving site Technical Queries
  • Liaison with Construction
  • Liaison with Home Office engineering
  • Liaison with Client engineers
  • Review and approval of Site Red Line Mark ups
  • Review and approval of As Built documentation

Skills / Experience:

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of Piping Design, Supports, Stress and Materials challenges during the construction phase of a project. 
  • Previous site experience.

Desirable

  • Brownfield Experience
  • Engineering Degree (BEng)

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent alternate Degree
