Objectives:

Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services, that will increase firm's reputation.

Responsibilities:
Negotiating maximum tax benefits for the business and maintains cordial relationship with tax authorities (GCT) to the highest level in tax authority and enhancement of corporate image as responsible taxpayer. Lobbing in GCT / ROC to safeguard the business risks and minimizing cost of taxes for the company.Reduction of compliance risks by ensuring accurate & timely filing of all corporate tax returns and withholding tax statements as per law and ensure timely filing in tax department.Ensuring a smooth Income Tax Audits and handling of the tax assessments proceeding with tax authorities.Finalization of tax litigations in all forums and courts.Study of tax laws, timely adaptation of various tax amendments in tax laws, and follow-up for the amendments whenever announced by GCT, Ministry of FIN, or Central Bank of Iraq.Informing and educating relevant finance team members, and other cross functional employees - to ensure compliance with all tax laws. Coordinating with 3rd party (tax consultants) to seek clarity on all tax laws to ensure adequate implementation / adaptations by company.Coordinating with Accounting, and Business planning team to ensure adequate tax provision in accounting records, at each month end closing., and correct tax estimates in rolling and strategic business plans.Coordinating with External Auditors (as per Iraqi Law) for all tax related mattersFollow-up with 3rd party consultants for obtaining tax clearance from GCT for both entities (NIQ and SIQ). Coordinate with related stakeholders (internal and external) to solve matter, which are pre-requisite for getting tax clearance. Minimization of transaction risks by tax review of all the business agreements for any tax implications and through day-to-day tax advice on various tax issues.Ensure people management through principles of leadership and techniques of high-performance culture. Any other assignment given by the line manage and senior management.Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting. Master's degree is preferred.10+ years 'experiences in finance, 6+ years at least in taxation affairs.Good interpersonal skills Well versed with Tax laws Ability to successfully lobby and negotiate maximum tax benefits for the businessAbility to maintains cordial relationship with tax authorities to the highest level in tax department (GCT)Enhancement of corporate image as responsible taxpayer before GCT and ROC.Knowledge of international corporate tax is preferredKnowledge of transfer pricingKnowledge of accounting Impact & InfluenceDrive for ResultsPartnering with CustomersInspiring Others Diversity & Inclusion
