Position Summary

AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced ELA instructor to drive its mission of English for university and corporate clients. In this pivotal role, the ELA instructor will teach, test and plan lessons for a variety of students. If you're an innovative instructor with a passion for teaching, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up to date academic records.
• Lead a classroom of 15-20 students.
• Teaching hours are 20 hours per week.
• Administrative tasks, office hours for tutoring and class preparation are 20 hours per week.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups.
• Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises.
• Mark and provide appropriate feedback on written work.
• Devise, write and produce new materials, including audio and visual resources.
• Attend and contribute to faculty meetings.

Education and Experience

• Required Education: Masters in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education.
• Years of Relevant Experience: Five years or more.
• Specific Skills or Expertise: Teaching specialized English in academic or corporate contexts.
• Additional Certifications: CELTA or Trinity certificate.
• Personal Attributes: Collaborative and adaptable.
