We're looking for an Electrical Technician for Kurdistan ensure the maximum availability of equipment, including the maintenance and servicing of equipment in line with Aggreko's procedures

What you'll do:

  • Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot electrical equipment safely and in compliance with plant safety regulations and Aggreko's ESR standards.
  • Confirm electrical safety by ensuring equipment is locked out and secure before work begins, providing proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with the site supervisor on predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs, as well as repair and construction activities involving electrical systems.
  • Generate requisitions for parts, materials, and tools required for electrical maintenance to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Interpreting electrical drawings, diagrams, charts, and instructions to verify work is performed according to specifications and propose improvements for optimal functioning.
  • Maintain a daily log record of service activities to update on ongoing work.
  • Inspect materials in stock and equipment purchased by the plant to ensure compliance with quality and specification requirements.
  • Aggreko places a strong emphasis on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance with the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and local legislation, and ensure completion and validity of all minimum QHSE training and objectives required by the company.
  • Operation and maintenance of Cummins QSK60G generators.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and calibration of engine control modules.
  • Planning daily activities and manpower allocation.
  • Perform 5S and OPO audits to maintain workplace organization and operational excellence.
  • Closing service orders on the ERP (M3) database system.
  • Apply electrical (High Voltage) and mechanical (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
  • Ensure Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes are well maintained.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, SMED, OPL, and Learning Points.
  • Prepare, upload, and follow up on CFR (Customer Feedback Report).
  • Installation and commissioning of QSK60 Gas Gensets.

  • Maintain and enhance relationship and communication onsite with clients.
  • Other duties are considered essential for effective operations and service as requested.

You'll have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.
  • Must hold Aggreko's ESR AP-HV Certification
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Work in a rotational work environment (8 weeks on, 2 weeks off)
  • Possession of a valid local Driving License as per the needs of the business
  • Project site-based job requiring both technical and manual work to be conducted in all weather and terrain
  • Commitment & accountability for compliance to Aggreko Health Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation including internal & external audits.
  • Any other duties are considered essential for effective operations and service as requested.
