Job Description1. Supports the Company's process by personal involvement in activities to enhance performance in Health, Environment, Safety & Corporate Social Responsibility.
2. Serves as a technical advisor and expert point-of-contact to management, operations, engineering group and maintenance group. Assists in the update or development of the Company's engineering standards, policies and procedures.
3. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and methods in accordance with the Company's Engineering Process, including liaising with maintenance / operations to assure solutions that meet operating needs; develops approved facility modifications into fully defined and engineered packages, ready for implementation.
4. Prepares design calculations, computerized analyses, specifications and/or performs other engineering tasks with accountability in the following areas: Logic diagrams development, schematics, specifications, data sheets, inspection, testing, commissioning, scheduling, budget, cost control, progress reporting, and start-up.
5. Experience in design of ESD and DCS systems, including development of control and ESD logic. Experience in HAZOP and SIL studies.
6. Supports the Company's efforts to develop and maintain a process safety culture through proper execution and stewardship of the engineering owned Management of Change (MOC). Acts as Responsible Engineer as described in the MOC procedures for assigned projects, assuring that modifications are properly evaluated, implemented, and closed out.
7. Prepares Scopes of Work (SOW's) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) Packages. Evaluates bids and prepares the Technical Bid Evaluation including recommendations. Prepares man-hour and cost estimates for proposals.
8. Supports the E&I designer providing design direction and reviewing drawings.
9. Supervision of external engineering company deliverables.
Job description This position is an integral part of the Engineering team reporting to the Deputy Facilities Engineering Manager. The Team is responsible for the safe, efficient and economic execution of numerous change management and project activities for onshore oil facilities in Kurdistan Northern Iraq. The engineer will be liaising with the instrument engineer for execution of change management projects and must be able to perform task with a minimum of guidance and support.
Rotation 6 weeks on x 3 weeks off work schedule (flexible due to project requirements)
Mechanical/ Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer with around 10 years relevant experience.
