At Eni, we are looking for a Production Superintendent within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will be responsible for coordinating plant supervisors who are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all field production facilities.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring maximum efficiency and availability of all production equipment. 
  • Monitoring and controlling production parameters across all oil and gas production processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Monitoring and operating production facilities and wells. 
  • Demonstrated ability to shut down and start up wells, flowlines and plant systems. 
  • Coordinating the daily activities of production operators. 
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly production reports. 
  • Supervising chemical stocks, injections and associated results. 
  • Providing operator input and feedback into maintenance programmes and production planning activities to minimise impact on production. 
  • Investigating potential areas for improvement or modification to enhance production processes and water injection performance.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree or diploma in an engineering or technical discipline. 
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. 
  • Relevant production experience. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 
  • Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry, including all related production equipment and operations. 
  • Proven experience with maintenance procedures and operations.
  • Strong data management skills and computer literacy. 
  • Decision-making ability. 
  • Commitment to excellence. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability. 
  • Active listening and receptiveness. 
  • Effective deadline management.
