Position Summary
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event & Protocol Coordinator to drive its mission of Inspiring Leaders on a Global Level. In this pivotal role, the Event & Protocol Coordinator will work closely with AUIB stakeholders to deliver an outstanding event experience that actively engages both the internal and external community. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the university's protocol manual and ensure its application.
- Plan and coordinate VIP visits, including making arrangements for transportation, accommodations, and other logistics.
- Organize and execute ceremonial and special events, such as convocations, ribbon-cuttings, and academic ceremonies.
- Manage the process of official gifts, including their procurement, storage, and presentation.
- Ensure that all events and activities are in accordance with the university's protocols, policies, and guidelines.
- Provide support to the department in the planning and execution of official events and visits.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of events and activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software/tools.
- Creativity and attention to detail with a strong sense of branding and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by event schedules.
Education and Experience
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Years of Relevant Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, preferably in higher education or corporate settings.
- Specific Skills or Expertise: Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Additional Certifications: Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
