Business Development Specialist

Role summary
We are hiring a Business Development Specialist to sell Odoo-based ERP solutions and related implementation services. You will drive lead generation, discovery, proposal development, and closing. You will work closely with functional consultants and developers to translate business needs into a clear scope, timeline, and commercial offer.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead generation and outreach: identify and approach prospects via calls, email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business; book qualified meetings.
2. Discovery and qualification: run structured discovery to understand processes, pain points, stakeholders, constraints, budget/timeline, and success criteria.
3. Solution positioning: communicate how Odoo ERP solves operational problems; coordinate demos (and lead parts of demos when ready).
4. Proposal development: gather requirements, shape scope and assumptions with the delivery team, and produce a clear proposal/SOW with phased delivery.
5. Pipeline management: maintain accurate CRM records, deal stages, next actions, and follow-up cadence.
6. Negotiation and closing: manage objections, procurement steps, and contract finalization.
7. Handover to delivery: ensure clean handover with documented requirements, priorities, and expected outcomes.
Required qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in B2B sales or business development (software, IT services, or SaaS preferred).
• Experience with Odoo (selling, implementing, supporting, or working closely with Odoo teams).
• Strong communication and stakeholder handling (owners, GMs, finance, operations).
• Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into solution scope (high-level).
• Good discipline with follow-ups and pipeline tracking (CRM hygiene).
• Arabic fluency required; English working proficiency required.
• Willingness to do customer visits when needed.
Preferred qualifications
• Prior experience selling implementation projects (services) in addition to licenses/subscriptions.
• Familiarity with core ERP domains: Sales, Accounting basics (AR/AP, invoicing), Inventory/Warehouse, Purchasing, HR.
• Comfortable coordinating with technical teams and writing clear, non-ambiguous scope notes.
