Job Title: EPCM Principle Lifting Specialist

Overall view of the role:

  • Conducting heavy lifting consultations, evaluate the requirements of lifting activities, review heavy lift engineering technical studies, review heavy lifting procedures, and participate in lifting incidents investigations.

Accountabilities/Expectations:

  • Assess site lifting requirements.
  • Provide consultations on the most suitable crane/equipment type.
  • Perform technical reviews for lifting methodologies.
  • Work closely with the contractors, construction supervisors, HSE supervisors and planners to develop quality job plans and schedules.
  • Review Contractor's lifting & Hoisting procedures and ensure they match the oilfield's main guidelines and standards.
  • Auditing contractor's Rigging Lofts and advise about the best practice in managing them

Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Civil) is highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in specialized heavy lift field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Iraq.
  • Ability to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Appointed person certified by accredited organization (e.g. LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineering Association), or equivalent).
  • LEM/SMS/LOLER-style competence where applicable (Lifting Equipment and LRigging competency frameworks).
  • BS7121
  • Ability to demonstrate engineering technical capabilities in conducting heavy lifting assessment to identify all lifting requirements, including "but not limited to" site conditions, equipment selection,and crane configuration.
  • Deep understanding of the international standards and regulations for cranes/heavy equipment operation
  • Literate in using a computer and Microsoft office application (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
