Position Summary
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bursar (Cashier) to support its mission of delivering accurate, compliant, and student-centered financial services. Key Responsibilities
1. Cash Management: Oversee daily cash handling, accounts payable/receivable, and ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of funds.
2. Student Accounts Administration: Manage tuition/fees assessment, billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation through Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
3. Financial Aid & Scholarship Support: Assist with application processing, award determinations, disbursements, and compliance reporting for financial aid and scholarships.
4. Customer Service & Guidance: Act as a primary point of contact for student financial inquiries; provide professional, solution-oriented assistance to students and families.
5. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial reports on student accounts, financial aid, and scholarships, ensuring adherence to AUIB policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. Attention to Detail: Ability to manage financial transactions and student records with high accuracy.
2. Customer Service Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally and effectively.
3. Technical Proficiency: Competence in Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or similar student information systems.
4. Analytical Skills: Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance.
5. Adaptability & Initiative: Willingness to identify process improvements and support system enhancements for efficiency.
Education and Experience
1. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in financial services, student accounts, or higher education finance.
3. Specific Skills or Expertise: Proficiency in account management, reconciliation, reporting, and use of financial systems (preferably Oracle PeopleSoft).
4. Additional Certifications: Related financial certification preferred but not mandatory.
