These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.OverviewThe operations Coordinator (OC) plays a pivotal part in promoting operational Excellence, coaching and mentoring field personnel on approved ROO procedures aligned with best practices within the operations excellence.Although the OC does not have direct or indirect reports, the role is highly influential and relies on strong collaborative relationships with the OA, CoW Team Lead, and national staff across field locations. The OC supports the OA and Operations Team Leads (OTLs) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.This position is instrumental in driving continuous improvement and reinforcing operating Excellence within shift teams, contributing to a culture of safety, performance, and accountability.The Operations Coordinator is expected to use best professional judgment and efforts in discharging the responsibilities listed in this job description, but it is recognized that (i) the OC may not in practice always have control and authority over national staff tasked with executing certain activities in field locations necessary to discharge these responsibilities, (ii) this may impact the OC's ability to perform their role, and (iii) achieving some deliverables may therefore depend on how effective the OC is at influencing national staff (including via building relationships, coaching and advising).ResponsibilitiesLeadershipExhibit strong safety leadership and consistently model exemplary safe behaviors, ensuring ROO safety standards and HSE principles are clearly communicated, understood, and upheld. The OC plays a key role in promoting a proactive safety culture that enhances both process and personal safety across the site.Provide strategic guidance to the site operations team to safely optimize daily production in alignment with approved plans. Promote a thorough understanding of production/injection deferrals and actively engage in the area vulnerability management process to mitigate risks and optimize performance.Conduct self-verification activities, contribute to incident investigations, and support teams in identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventative measures.Support coaching and development initiatives for site teams in areas where the OC has demonstrated competency, as defined in their Personal Development Plan (PDP), to build operational capability and drive continuous improvement.Risk / Operating ExcellenceSupport the OA in ensuring that engineering and technical queries are submitted promptly, with accurate and high-quality information, to support timely decision-making and meet business objectives.Assist the Operations Advisor (OA) in establishing and maintaining high standards of Operating Excellence across site personnel, consistent with ROO's HSE principles. Daily checks and watch-keeping duties are documented to provide evidence of compliance and operational rigor at each facility.Contribute to plant preparation and reinstatement activities associated with maintenance, ensuring readiness and safe return to service.Provide assurance to the OA regarding site compliance with the Control of Work (CoW) procedures. Offer on-site support to Site Controllers, Area Authorities, Isolating Authorities, and Performing Authorities to uphold procedural integrity.Collaborate with the OA and site teams in managing operational risks through Task Risk Assessments, Operational Risk Assessments (ORA), Safe Operating Risk Assessments (SORA), and Management of Change (MoC) evaluations. Identify risks and provide input into project and operational readiness activities, including close-out of actions from HAZOP and LOPA analyses.Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) incidents are reported using established tools, enabling accurate documentation and thorough investigation where necessary.Exercise authority to halt any activity deemed unsafe, reinforcing a commitment to safety and operational integrity. People Lead by example and influence the site team in being fully compliant with code of conduct and ROO Values and Behaviours expectations.Responsible for completing their PDP in agreement with their OTL (and OA) for each rotation.Support coaching of the facility team on their development, actively sharing experience and dedicating time each week to coaching and mentoring the teams in BOC.Identify and intervene if a team member does not meet performance expectations, have a low tolerance for poor behaviours.Any non-conformance will be escalated through line management.Support the OA in communication with the shift teams.Production Delivery, Optimisation & Excellent Performance Support the OA in understanding the day-to-day plant optimisation.Support the OA for providing operational input to the optimisation team for managing well allocation and new oil/water delivery.Actively monitor product quality and manage interventions when quality issues arise. Be proactive with interventions on early indication of quality issues.Support the OA in ensuring robust plant watch-keeping and monitoring routines are completed with all deviations acted on and ensuring system is fit for purpose.Accountable for performing a full operator round everyday, preferably with a BOC operator to support building rigour into ops routines, reporting any defects found. These will include, but not limited to;LO/LC checks and register update as per procedure requirementsLTI field checks and register update as per procedure requirements.ORA controls site checks and verification that relevant controls are copied across to the Ops Routines as required.Verification of overrides and corresponding SORA's in place.Support investigations (e.g. 5 Whys) for all process safety incidents, production deferrals and product quality issues over defined limits.Support the OA in updating the plant vulnerability sheet on a weekly basis so it is an accurate reflection of plant status.Support the OA by participation in Continuous Improvement projects on your sites and promote the benefit of the CI philosophy to engage the site teams in this process.Monitor and report to the OA on plant operations being operated within the design envelope and that any deviations are reported and risk assessed via operational risk assessments.Provides operations input into the integrated schedule with regards to plant preparation schedule and site constraints.Plant is prepared and reinstated in support of TAR/Pitstop execution schedule, ensuring SIMOPS are identified and managed early enough in the schedule.Where requested by the OA provide project team support during design, construction and commissioning phases.Identify plant defects and raise corrective work orders as found.Meets data reporting requirements as outlined by the OA (e.g. routine performance reviews).Experience & Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience in hydrocarbon/WI operations.Engineering degree or equivalent experienceRelevant HSE knowledge.Knowledge of control of work systems.Interpersonal communication skills are critically important to the OC position and should be demonstrably excellent.Capable of working autonomously and organising time to achieve work deliverables to defined standards.Personal behaviours and work ethic that leads by example.Evidence of continued professional development (training, course certificates or references).Preferred Qualifications:Certified Professional EngineerBelong.
