Turnaround Lead

Our client is developing a major oilfield in Iraq and is currently seeking 2 x Turnaround Leads to work on 28/28 rotation in Basra, Iraq. The TAR Lead is a role reporting to the Turnaround Manager, and the incumbent shall develop and maintain an 8Q TAR Schedule for each facility in the region, consistent with the five-year rolling TAR schedule. Deploying company and contract resources to safely plan and execute major planned activities. Key Accountabilities Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvementChampion the nationalisation program through good leadership and mentoring Iraqi nationalsEstablish a defined Turnaround cycle for all assets that meets with key business objectives requiring shutdown interventionPerformance manage the Turnaround Team, setting targets and milestonesMeet Turnaround Milestones at all stages of lifecycle for multiple concurrent eventsSafe, systematic and efficient delivery of the Turnaround Program that meets with industry best practicesDefine an execution organisation ensuring capability and clear accountabilities trusted to deliver safely, on time, on budgetContractor Management during Turnaround executionPreparing an Annual Plan (in year) setting out key activities, costs, and resource requirementsPrioritize the scope and duration of Turnaround activities in accordance with the approved planInterface management and developing relationships with Operations, Production, Projects, Engineering, Maintenance and other personnel to optimize work executionEstablishing and coordinating progress meetings with relevant asset, function and site personnelSupports capability training and talent development of Iraqi nationals for the Turnaround teamCompletions and Closeout ManagementConduct Lessons Learned for all TurnaroundsRecommendation on changes to scope following change request process for endorsement by Stakeholders Essential Education Degree / diploma qualified engineer or equivalent industry work experience Essential experience and job requirements Extensive and relevant industry experience in brownfield environments.
