This role will be required to manage several major, and Mods projects readiness and make sure the operational readiness activities are well-identified, managed, and progressed in order to make sure safe and smooth start up takes place within the target dates as per each project timeline and ROO business plan. This role is responsible for managing various interfaces with multiple teams within projects, operations, and other supporting functions within the organization. This is a site-based role which will require frequent travels to work sites. Travel from one worksite to the other is also part of the role. Operations Readiness Advisor (ORA) to provide technical support and operating guidance for equipment and systems prior to and after handover to Operations from Projects. This includes accountability for operations support contracts, assurance on completion of risk management studies and action closure, handover of engineering information (data and documents), recruitment of ops staff as per plan, and integration of new project into ROO AP.Ops readiness advisor ORA is reporting directly to the Operations Readiness Team Leader (ORTL). The Operations Readiness Advisor is the key interface between the ROO Operations Readiness team and various stakeholders e.g the operating facility, Area operations team, Major projects, M&E projects & Mods team, O&M contractors responsible for operating new facilities, several other ROO supporting functions which has inputs to operational Readiness plans, and ORSU teams. The operations Readiness Coordinator (ORC) reports directly to the ORA position.The role will work closely with stakeholders to deliver Operational Readiness Plan ORP, Commissioning, and safe Start-up of the facility and timely resolution of any issues which might arise. Work Location Pattern:Rotation: 28/28Site: Predominantly on different sitesOffice: As and when required in line with team meetingsResponsibilities:LeadershipAlways demonstrate strong safety leadership and exemplary safety behaviours, ensuring that ROO safety expectations are communicated and reinforced. Carry out self-verification activities, participate in incident investigations if required. Coaching and development of their direct reports to support the nationalisation agenda.Lead the development of Operational Readiness Plans ORP and ensure inputs from stakeholders incorporated.Ensure Lessons Learned from previous projects are included in ORP.Lead pre-start-up workshops with relevant stakeholders. Risk / Operating DisciplineLead interface with stakeholders to ensure support is in place for the new facility in a timely fashion, and stakeholders understand project timeline & requirements.Review HZOP Report and ensure the implementation of all HAZOP actions / RecommendationsManage handover of engineering information (Data & documents) required for operations support in accordance with requirements for information.Develop operational risk register for start-up covering different aspects of risks (start-up delay, HSE risks, Process safety risks, enduring risks carried over to operational phase, future vulnerabilities, etc.) Set up and lead risk review sessions with relevant parties, keep document updated, and ensure mitigation plans in place.Ensure enduring risks to operational phase and vulnerabilities are well-documented and handed over to start up team.Lead the development of COW strategy based on project execution plan & facilities operating model. Ensure changes to plant and equipment is subject to the appropriate level of TQ / EQ and Management of Change before putting into service.Support the commissioning phase including attending the Walkdowns, reviewing the commissioning tests procedures & the performance test. Review, Develop, and validate all documentations related to the projects (O&M Manual, initial STU Procedures, SOP, P&IDs, etc).Be visible on site to test and verify that CTPs are being maintained, and capture lessons learned.Support compliance with GOC criteria and handover process. Support the preparation of Start-up and ensure successful and safe Start Up of the new facilities.Ensure engineering queries EQ, technical queries TQ, and Operational risk assessment ORA are raised where required with quality and accurate information and raised in a timely manner to meet business objectives.Responsible for ensuring PSSR (Pre-Start-up Safety Review) developed, meeting set up, and lead meetings with stakeholders until full closure of items and full sign off. Responsible for developing, maintaining ORSU (Operations Readiness & Start up) action tracker, working with relevant parties to ensure close out. Set up and Lead action tracker meeting with relevant parties to ensure progress or escalate if higher support required from Leadership team. Responsible for ensuring that rigorous Operating Discipline standards are communicated to O&M contractors as part the O&M scope. Review/ Update the training plan & follow up on vendor training and the job training requirementReporting of all HSE related incidents through the established reporting tools to ensure accurate records of incidents and further investigations can be carried out where required.PeopleLead by example and is accountable for their teams being fully compliant with code of conduct and ROO Values and Behaviours expectations.Responsible for ensuring direct reports have a robust development plan and are being actively managed against objectives.Coach and support their team on development, actively share experience and dedicate time each week to coaching and mentoring the local national population both within BOC and Local National Agency.Ensure that direct report work patterns and commitments are fulfilled per HR contractual obligations.Motivate the team, celebrate their successes and ensure their views and problems are listened to and suggestions are considered.Identify and intervene if a team member does not meet performance expectations, have a low tolerance for poor behaviours.Any non-conformance with this section will be escalated through line management. Production Delivery, Optimisation & Excellent Performance Work with project document controller to make Sure project DDM is updated with relevant ORSU team for documents review. Lead workshops with stakeholders to identify operating model for the new facilities and develop plans accordingly.Lead the development, own, and drive progress on ORP (Operational Readiness Plan) with all stakeholders including supporting functions. Ensure actual Vs Planed progress are aligned. Develop O&M contract strategies and work with PSCM until contract award.Work with BOC to provide required resources to fill-in organization for new facilities. Responsible for providing operational input to the optimisation & start-up teams for managing well allocation before initial start-up. Maintain the ops readiness tools & systems, i.e. updating the Lessons Learnt and best practices database as required.Contribute to the development or enhancement of the Operational Readiness standards, processes, tools & systems, incorporating any lessons learnt and best practices. Utilise any of own specialist skills in the implementation of the above (e.g. Operability, Control & Total Reliability).Ensure the Project Development Plan and Project Execution Plan adequately addresses operational issues and requirements.Drive clear prioritisation of ORP so actions are focused in the right areas.Provide input to the production forecasting process based on current operating assumptions and projects timeline.Work with projects & EPC contractors to ensure operations, Maintenance, and reliability of equipment & systems progresses inline with project Operational Efficiency target.Assess proposed changes and impact on ROO stakeholders OPEX and OE (Operational Efficiency). Ensure Lessons learned are timely recorded with details and evidence in preparation for project close out wider Lessons learned session led by ORSU interface team. Ensure lessons learned applicable to inflight projects are communicated timely so that corrective action can be taken. Provides input into the integrated schedule with regards to plant preparation schedule and site constraints. Recommends the timing and priority of new workIdentifies and escalates emergent risks to ORP deliverySupport the Start-up team in the delivery of operational work, identifying risks where work is not operationally ready to executeRaises operational issues and mitigating actions identified from plant monitoring and site visits to address issues which might be a risk to start up. Drives action closure from action tracker, Risk register, and ORP to ensure progress per plan and delays for start-up.Drives the expectation on Operating Discipline and regulatory compliance in the team and across the site through Self Verification, coaching and follow up on actions.Every week:Performance manages the ORC (Ops Readiness Coordinators) and supports the O&M/BOC teams, coaching them on identifying and closing gaps through continuous improvementLeads bi-weekly progress meeting and agrees on any actions or escalations needed to resolve identified issues.Reviews execution performance with the ORTL and agrees required actions for incomplete activities.Provides operational input into the area integrated schedule with regards to plant preparation schedule and identified site constraintsBuilds a defect elimination mindset at Technician level though continuous improvement based on lessons learned and performance metricsEvery month:Works with the project delivery team /site team to review progress on construction and schedule in order to adjust ORP if required.Provides technical input to the development of operational plans to deliver asset strategies, ensuring operational issues and constraints are proactively managed.Works with project team on follow up on FTQ (Field Technical Queries) and track progress. Ad hoc:Per project plan, attends the relevant project meetings to support delivery of activities on siteSupports GOC/PSSR ops delivery, including timely readiness checks and site walkdownsLead GNG meetings.QUALIFICATIONSWhat makes you remarkable?
