Production Superintendent

We have a current opportunity for a Production Superintendent on a long term contract basis. The position will be based in Iraq on a 28x28 rotational basis. Our client is a major international operator, who are seeking a Production Superintendent on site in Basra, Iraq. You will coordinate plant supervisors to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all field production facilities.Main responsibilities: Ensure maximum efficiency and availability of all production equipment.Monitor and control production parameters across all oil and gas processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Operate and monitor production facilities and wells.Demonstrate the ability to shut down and start up wells, flowlines and plant systems.Coordinate the daily activities of production operators.Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.Supervise chemical stock levels, injection processes and associated performance results.Provide operator input and feedback into maintenance programmes and production planning to minimise impact on output.Investigate opportunities for improvement or modification to enhance production processes and water injection performance. Skills and experience required: Degree or diploma in an engineering/technical discipline.Significant Oil & Gas Industry experience.Relevant production experience.Solid knowledge of oil and gas industry related production equipment & operations.Familiarity with maintenance procedures and operations.Fluent in English.Data management and computer literacy.Decision-making.Excellence orientation.Flexibility and adaptability.Active listening and receptiveness.Deadline and time management.For further information about this position please apply.Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
