Geo-Jade Petroleum – South Basra Integrated Project (SBIPRO) is seeking an experienced Team Leader Instrument and Control Engineer with 12 years solid Oil & Gas experience . This role works with Production Department on rotation basis based in Basra Iraq.
Manages the preparation and execution of all Instrument and control maintenance plans and schedules to meet the maintenance section objectives. Includes the preparation of short-, medium
- and long-term Instrument and control maintenance plans and schedules for all activities including shutdowns. Provides expert advice and in in-house consultancy service on all matters related to instrumentation and control engineering services for projects and plant modifications. Undertakes related technical studies and maintenance activities to ensure having safe, economic and technically decisions to meet section targets. Monitors the work and services execution to maintain equipment availability and reliability. Assists in the development of the annual instrument and control engineering operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets for the production facilities. Ensures that all activities are comply with the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, and that these are fully implemented and adhered. Supervises related Instrumentation and control studies and engineering solutions with site team and provide the required technical support. Ensures support the development of National staff through on job training and training program Support the development of Iraqi National staff instrument and control team on job training and training program. Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures Ensure all instrument and control maintenance activities comply with company maintenance policies, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards. Enforce standard operating and Maintenance Practices (SOPs/SMP) for maintenance execution and equipment handling. Manages the activities of assigned personnel in the instrument and control engineering team. Performs supervisor duties at the level established by management for the position. Manages all activities under his control to ensure that the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to, so that Loss Prevention is maximized. Manages instrument and control activities to achieve work quality in accordance with the Company QA/QC standards and procedures. Manages the preparation of regular maintenance work schedules for instrument and control to meet operational work programs efficiently.
Includes developing preventive maintenance based on the manufacturers’ recommendations, discussing progress reports and determining directional objectives. Lead the instrument and control maintenance plans, for the various fields and facilities, in coordination with team. Manages and develops the annual instrument and control maintenance operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets for the fields .
Includes analysis of deviations and preparation of reconciliations accordingly by reviewing expenditures, confirming with actual budget, making necessary adjustments, forecasting following year's additional expenses. Lead the overall supervision for the instrument and control requirements and control of strategic spare parts, consumables, equipment and maintenance tools. Reviews and approves the detailed annual stock set-ups in conjunction with concerned personnel. Participates in the upgrade and suggestions for instrument and control modifications and improvements. Reviews plant modification proposals and discusses specific project proposals with Technical Service Team and obtain section head approvals for action plans. Manage the contracts related to instrumentation and control maintenance services for professional execution and best outcomes. Measure the Section KPIs and ensure having high scorecards for the discipline of instrumentation and control field. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. Strong knowledge on instrument and control engineering in oil field equipment, related maintenance systems and Engineering. Familiarity with HSE standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. Strong leadership, troubleshooting, high technical report writing and communication skills. Analytical thinks and professional engineering problems’ solving. Minimum

Minimum 12 years of maintenance experience in oil field operations, with at least 10 years in a leader/Senior role. 12 years Proven experience with CMMS and engineering reviews ( FAT, HAZOP, SIL, Commissioning, etc) and knowledge in best engineering practices. Job-Specific

Expertise in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance execution for instrument and control equipment. Ability to lead planned/unplanned shutdowns, turnarounds and major instrument and control tasks.
