About the Role
Almotakamila Flexible Packaging is seeking an experienced Prepress Manager to lead the complete prepress process, from artwork preparation and technical review to printing plate production. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, consistent, and timely delivery of production-ready files and plates while managing the prepress team and optimizing Esko workflows.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily prepress operations, job priorities, and plate production schedules to meet manufacturing deadlines.
• Review customer artwork and production specifications, identifying technical issues before processing.
• Oversee file preparation, preflight checks, trapping, separations, screening, and colour management.
• Manage flexographic plate preparation, including distortion compensation, step-and-repeat layouts, and plate output.
• Operate and optimize Esko workflows, including ArtPro+, Automation Engine, and DeskPack, as applicable.
• Oversee plate-making equipment operation, quality checks, and maintenance coordination.
• Establish and maintain colour profiles, proofing procedures, and production standards to support consistent print results.
• Coordinate with sales, design, quality, R&D, and production teams on artwork approvals and technical requirements.
• Investigate print and plate defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, train, and develop the prepress team, ensuring clear responsibilities and consistent working procedures.
• Maintain organized artwork archives, approved file versions, plate records, and job documentation.
• Monitor turnaround times, remakes, material waste, and workflow efficiency. Required Qualifications
• A minimum of 10 years of prepress experience within the flexible packaging industry.
• Hands-on experience with Esko software and workflows, including ArtPro+, Automation Engine, and DeskPack.
• In-depth knowledge of flexographic prepress, colour management, file preparation, and printing plate production.
• Strong understanding of how substrates, inks, anilox specifications, and press conditions affect prepress requirements and print quality.
• Proven ability to lead a prepress team and coordinate multiple production priorities.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with customers and internal departments. Preferred Qualifications
• Practical experience operating Esko plate-making equipment.
• Relevant technical education or professional training in printing, graphic technology, or a related field.
• Experience implementing workflow automation and improving prepress processes.
