Job Purpose:

The Commissioning Lead-I&C will be in charge of overseeing and managing the commissioning activities for Instrumentation and Control systems on the BP_ROO_EPCM project located in Basra, Iraq. The role involves ensuring the proper testing, commissioning, and integration of all I&C systems within the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop commissioning plans and procedures for I&C systems in collaboration with the project team.
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to guarantee the correct installation and testing of I&C systems.
  • Supervise a team of commissioning technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the commissioning process.
  • Ensure all I&C systems meet project standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance teams as required.
  • Experience in Water treatment plants besides Oil & Gas would be beneficial

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of Instrumentation and Control systems.
  • Experience in commissioning various types of projects.
  • Effective communication skills in English and strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

Mandatory: Diploma-level education with relevant professional qualifications.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline related to the role.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commissioning I&C systems.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is a plus.

Work Environment:

The Commissioning Lead - Instrument & Control will be based at the project site in Basra, Iraq. The work environment may entail exposure to construction sites, industrial equipment, and hazardous materials. The ideal candidate must be prepared to work in a challenging setting, ready to adapt to evolving conditions and prioritize tasks for successful project completion.
