Senior Financial Sector Development Specialist

The International Finance Corporation is a member of the World Bank Group, focused on the private sector in emerging markets. Our mission is to leverage the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet.
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Sector Development Specialist. In this role, you will work with clients and partners to develop and implement financial sector strategies that promote sustainable growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial sector strategies and programs that support client countries' development goals.
- Work with clients and partners to identify and prioritize financial sector needs and opportunities.
- Design and implement financial sector capacity-building programs for governments, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
- Analyze financial sector trends and developments, and provide recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other teams within the World Bank Group to ensure alignment and coordination of financial sector activities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial sector development, with a focus on emerging markets.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing financial sector strategies and programs that achieve tangible results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial sector data and issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
