This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Local National) to join our Iraq Business Unit.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and components.
• Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment.
• Identify mechanical faults and root causes using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Recommend and implement solutions to recurring issues
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE standards and industry regulations.
• Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Stay updated on relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards at client site.

Key accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Support the application of client Policy in relation to the Drug and Alcohol policy, Company Ethics, Award conditions, etc, whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates.

Expected:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Material Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience specifically in Maintenance, preferably in oil & gas and petrochemical sector.
• Language English and Arabic Proficiency.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good awareness in Safety Operations, Risk Assessment, and Best Practice Engineering.
• Problem Solving
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions; prepare clear and concise records, reports and other written materials.
• Continuous Improvement
• Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
• Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities
