Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Activities: Support and oversee WQ1 35 MW Power Plant multidiscipline team , Daily attendance at the 35MW power plant power station (primary work site) On request , rotating equipment support at other WQ1 Stations (secondary worksites) Maintain communications maintenance & operations management Assist and guide planning and execution of power plant interventions and facility upgrades Plan, update and oversees all activities at primary & (upon request) secondary areas of responsibility according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures. Special emphasis must be placed on health, safety, and the environment Develop and maintain open communications on 35MW issues (for example, safe work practices, training, materials, and others) with peers and technicians Report incidents both internally and externally (as per the Reporting Matrix) and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines Adhere to approved 35 MW work plans, schedule and daily activities to maximize work teams effectiveness Provide technical evaluations of material, equipment and maintenance procedures Provide input into the training department on curriculum and selection of personnel for training. Expected: 15 years plus experience in Maintenance (multidiscipline) Operations - required Degree preferred (or equivalents). Minimum HNC or equivalent Full Member of recognized professional institute preferred Previous Iraq experience highly preferable Skills: Excellent communications (oral & written) in English, Arabic an advantage Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment Summary skills: Full Power plant knowledge & experience including gas & liquid fuel supply and distribution, turbine maintenance (Mechanical/ Rotating / Electrical / Instrument and Controls) Previously worked in a Turbine & Balance of Plant Engineering (maintenance) role (preferred, or able to demonstrate experience on similar systems). 35MW Key components: Titan T130 Solar Turbine packages Power distribution (11kV, 6.6kV ,0.4kV) Balance of Plant Specific Skills (include):- Solar Turbine Titan T130 Packages Maintenance, trouble shooting, engine exchange and reinstatement activities in accordance with company policy, OEM recommendation and good practices Borescope inspection - execution & analysis Capability and experience of using :- Turbotronic drawing, ladder logic diagrams Programming and advanced troubleshooting on Allen Bradley PLC's (RS Logix 5000 and PLC 5) and TT4000 HMI. Power distribution 11kV Switching and Synchronization Isolation Practices (racking in / racking out) Black Start Procedures Power Quality knowledge Appreciation of Protection & Coordination Extensive Experience of the following:- Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Commissioning Planned Maintenance Condition Based Maintenance Multi-disciplinary Engineering Technical Support Root Cause Failure Analysis Generator O&M Compressor O&M Gas Turbines including Solar Titan Control & Instrumentation Change Management Equipment Strategy Technical Asset Management Performance Monitoring Major Inspection Repair & Overhaul Projects Training & Mentoring Microsoft Office Systems / Equipment: Maximo CMMS 35MW Specific Black Start Generator Liquid Fuel Treatment Skid (Alfa Laval) Fuel Gas Compressor Skid (Ariel) Air Compressors (Sullair) Diesel Storage Tanks and Transfer System KO Drum Demineralize Water Storage Tank Local Equipment Rooms / Local Equipment rooms including switchgear , PLC , Fire & Gas and Safety Instrumented Systems Other WQ1Stations,Including but not limited to: Engines, Compressors, pumps, generators, blowers and gearboxes ABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
