Medical Surgical Nurse Position Overview

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect clinical care to patients, serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, utilizing evidence-based practice to manage injuries and illnesses.

  • Assist medical providers with procedures and treatments within licensed scope of work.
  • Document patient vital signs, chief complaints, medical history, and prescribed medications.
  • Establish observable and documentable patient goals using appropriate care plans.
Qualifications and Requirements

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum two years of experience as an RN is required.
  • Current experience in direct patient care and at least six months of experience in the last twelve months.
  • Proficient IT skills including electronic medical records systems.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Experience on military or government sites, working as a subcontractor or prime contractor, is preferred. Remote site experience is also beneficial.
