Senior Project Manager, Loan Management

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our loan management team in Iraq. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and contribute to the country's development.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans in Iraq. The successful candidate will have experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and working with international financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure effective coordination between the Government of Iraq, the Government of Japan, and the UNDP on ODA loan projects.
- Review and analyze development policies, strategies, and plans for Iraq, and provide advice and recommendations to the government and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among relevant parties for new ODA loan project formulation, endorsement, and commitment.
- Lead the coordination with the Monitoring Committee (M/C) and JICA for the preparation of quarterly M/C meetings, aggregated progress reports, and presentations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree in Engineering, International Development Studies, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in ODA loan management and advisory roles for social and economic infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) or other bilateral/multilateral financial institutions.
- Knowledge of Japanese public administration, JICA strategies, and IFIs' processes and systems.
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of Arabic language.
The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 per year, based on the level of experience and qualifications required.
