Job Description:

As a senior financial accountant, you will be responsible for managing and executing comprehensive accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.

You will oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations. Your role will also involve preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management decision-making.

Additionally, you will develop and implement efficient accounting processes and internal controls, monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare variance analyses.

You will also create and follow up on client invoices, ensuring timely collection and healthy cash flow. Furthermore, you will coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.

Travel to project sites across Iraqi provinces as needed is also required (approximately 25%).

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in Iraq.
  • Advanced proficiency in both Zoho and QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Iraqi tax laws, financial regulations, and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
