HR Coordinator- Iraq

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to deliver reliable HR administration to join our team in Erbil.

The main office for Arla Foods Iraq is situated in Baghdad. We are three people in total in the HR team, two in the Baghdad office, and you in the Erbil office. You will work closely together with the HR colleagues in Iraq and the wider Arla HR team across the MENA Region.

HR Coordinator – Erbil, Iraq

In this role, you will ensure smooth HR operations, maintain accurate records, and support a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases
• Prepare employment contracts, amendments, letters, and certificates
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including document collection, induction scheduling, and systems access
• Register employees with social security, process updates and terminations, and prepare monthly reports for timely payments and reconciliations
• Liaise with authorities and external partners on social security matters
• Monitor and communicate changes in labor and social security regulations to leadership
• Support managers through HR processes such as onboarding, performance cycles, and training logistics
• Coordinate local trainings, awareness sessions, and policy refreshers on compliance topics
• Organize employee engagement activities and support internal communications
• Act as the first point of contact for HR-related administrative inquiries in the Erbil office

Your Profile

• 2–4 years of experience in HR administration or related roles
• Solid knowledge of Iraqi social security processes and labor law basics
• Strong administrative skills with a focus on data accuracy and confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills in English and Kurdish (Arabic is an advantage)
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with SharePoint is a plus
• Service-minded, organized, and detail-oriented with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
• Demonstrates high integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Willingness for occasional local travel within Kurdistan/Iraq for authority visits or trainings
