We are looking for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join our site-based team in Iraq on a rotational basis. The role involves providing engineering support for ongoing construction activities, ensuring the proper execution of civil and structural works in compliance with technical standards and safety protocols.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and supervise all civil and structural engineering works on-site, ensuring compliance with design drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Support the Site Engineering Manager in coordinating and executing civil works activities.
  • Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and ensure accurate implementation on site.
  • Identify and resolve site engineering issues in collaboration with construction and design teams.
  • Conduct site inspections, field verifications, and quality checks to monitor contractor performance and workmanship.
  • Respond to Technical Queries (TQs), manage site instructions, and support resolution of non-conformances.
  • Interface with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping) to ensure integrated execution of work.
  • Ensure civil and structural works comply with project HSE, QA/QC requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports, engineering logs, and documentation of civil/structural activities.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in site-based civil and structural engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or industrial project sector.
  • Prior experience on international EPC or brownfield/greenfield site projects in the Middle East or Iraq is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete works, earthworks, foundations, and site preparation.
  • Familiarity with Iraqi site conditions and working with local contractors is an advantage.
