Job Title: Agile Team Facilitator

Overview

A successful Scrum Master facilitates a high-performing team by guiding them in their adoption of Agile methodologies. This role is responsible for fostering an environment that prioritizes delivering value to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
  • Establish a culture that promotes continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Coordinate daily activities among teams, including collocated, remote, and hybrid setups, as well as with external contractors.
  • Counsel the team on project roadmaps and milestone definition.
  • Coach the team on organizing project ceremonies, such as kickoffs and retrospectives.
  • Guarantee projects are set up for success and apply Agile best practices, guidelines, and standards.
  • Plan sprints and define scope, using appropriate Agile techniques.
  • Facilitate feature and backlog item estimation sessions.
  • Identify and address team issues and impediments promptly.
  • Monitor project and team health through Agile methods.
  • Manage the sprint backlog and implement change management strategies.
  • Guide team members and stakeholders on the Agile project process.
  • Provide constructive feedback and contribute to performance assessments.
  • Report status to relevant stakeholders following standard procedures and company-wide KPIs and metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure correct communication and dependency management.
  • Evaluate new frameworks and tools for projects.
  • Mentor and coach team members, hold one-on-ones, and support teammates in goal setting.
  • Suggest improvements at the company level and facilitate changes.
  • Stay updated on new approaches and frameworks.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent.

Recommended certifications include Professional Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, and PMI-DASM (Disciplined Agile Scrum Master).

Experience:

0-1 years of work experience in a Scrum Master role.
