Al Gharraf is looking for a talented and experienced Control Room Operator with more than 3 years of experience in the oil&gas industry to join our team in Barah province.

successful candidates will get the opportunity to sign 5 years contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of hydrocarbon process plant and equipment from a Central Control Room via SCADA system.
  • Perform basic water quality analyses e.g. turbidity, conductivity, SDI, etc. when required or requested.
  • Responding to alarm conditions as they arise including initiating front-line emergency response measures.
  • Start-Up and Shut-down of process trains and equipment during normal operations and emergencies.
  • Prepare process systems for shut-down from SCADA panels for a defined area of responsibility
  • Prepare process systems for start-up following reinstatement from SCADA panels for a defined area of responsibility
  • Remote monitoring of all process parameters special requirement for any deviations from normal operating conditions
  • Directs and controls movements/actions of lead process and process operators during day-to-day operational activities
  • Remotely operating the mainline and booster pumping stations along the pipeline
  • Communicating with pipeline field operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Signaling other workers by telephone or radio to operate pumps, open and close valves, and check temperatures
  • Reports to the Process manager on all issues relating to the plant
  • Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all the staff
  • Continues to develop own professional expertise through on-the-job training

Requirements :

    • 3 years experience.
  • Fluent in English language.
  • SCADA utilization, Automated Processes
  • Water treatment and RO desalination
  • Basic laboratory analyses (temperature, conductivity, pH, iron, SDI, etc.)
  • Mechanical and electrical equipment, water quality monitoring instruments
  • Safe use and handling of water treatment Chemicals
  • Good knowledge of gas compression and gas engines
  • Understanding and experience of Fire and Gas systems
