Job Title: Deputy Representative Programme Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Representative Programme Manager to join our team at UNICEF. As a key member of our programme management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Representative in leading and leveraging partnerships with both public and private sectors for the achievement of results and fulfilment of the rights of children.

Key Responsibilities:

- CO Programme planning and development
- Support to the Representative on managing the CO
- Monitoring and quality control of Programmes
- Representation, alliance building and UN System coordination
- Private Sector Engagement and Partnerships
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
- Security of personnel, programmes and organizational assets

Requirements:

- An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: social sciences, international relations, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development, or another relevant technical field.
- A minimum of ten years of professional development experience that combines technical and managerial leadership in development cooperation at the international level, some of which served in developing countries is required.
- Relevant professional experience in any UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Experience in humanitarian settings is strongly desired.
- Skills: Change Management Skill, successful change management relies on a combination of communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic) is a strong asset.
- Developing country work experience and with emergency.
- Experience in SDG Localization through Local Governance and modeling.
