UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager to join our team as a Deputy Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight to the Country Office (CO) Programme, ensuring its alignment with UNICEF\'s Strategic Plans and global standards.


The Deputy Representative will serve as the principal adviser to the Country Representative on overall programme management, policy development, and strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of development cooperation, programme management, and humanitarian response, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex programmes, building strong partnerships, and driving results in developing countries. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make informed decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the CO Programme
  • Develop and implement programme plans and strategies
  • Ensure programme alignment with UNICEF\'s Strategic Plans and global standards
  • Build and maintain partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders
  • Represent UNICEF in national and international forums


Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in programme management, development cooperation, or humanitarian response
  • Proven track record of managing complex programmes and achieving results
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and partnership-building skills
